Remesas Hoy Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes the information practices of the Remesas Hoy mobile application for Android (the “App”), published by Helios Apps Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The App displays third-party exchange-rate and fee information for money-transfer providers serving the United States to Dominican Republic and United States to Mexico corridors. The App is informational only: it does not process transactions, and we are not a money transmitter.
1. Summary of Key Points
- The App has no account creation. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, or any financial account information.
- The App performs no financial transactions. We never see, hold, or transfer your money or payment details.
- The App shows advertising through Google AdMob, which may collect certain device data as described below.
- Push notifications for daily exchange rates are optional and use an anonymous device token.
- We may collect anonymized analytics (crash reports and screen views) to improve the App.
- We collect no sensitive personal data and we do not sell personal information.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, government identifiers, payment or bank details, precise location, contacts, photos, or any other sensitive personal data. Because there are no accounts, the data described in this policy is generally not linked to your identity by us.
3. Information Collected Automatically
Advertising (Google AdMob). The App displays ads served by Google AdMob. In connection with serving ads, Google may collect and process your device’s advertising ID, IP address, coarse (approximate) location derived from the IP address, device information (such as model and operating system version), and ad interaction data. Depending on your device settings and applicable rules, Google may serve personalized or non-personalized ads. Google’s practices are governed by its own policies: see the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Push notifications (optional). If you enable daily exchange-rate notifications, a push registration token is generated for your device (for example, a Firebase Cloud Messaging token). This token is used solely to deliver notifications to your device and is not linked by us to your identity. You may disable notifications at any time in the App or in Android system settings, after which the token is deactivated.
Analytics and crash data. We may collect anonymized, aggregated app analytics, such as crash reports, screens viewed, feature usage, device model, and operating system version, to diagnose problems and improve the App.
Rate data requests. When the App refreshes exchange-rate information, the request, like any internet request, includes your device’s IP address as a technical necessity. We do not store this beyond standard short-term server logs.
4. How We Use Information
- To display exchange-rate and fee information;
- To serve advertising through Google AdMob, which supports the free App;
- To deliver push notifications you have opted into;
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve the App;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use this information to identify you, and we do not sell personal information.
5. Advertising Choices and Opting Out of Personalized Ads
You can limit or opt out of personalized advertising at the device level on Android: open Settings, then Privacy, then Ads (on some devices, Settings, then Google, then Ads), and choose “Delete advertising ID” or enable “Opt out of Ads Personalization,” depending on your Android version. After opting out, you may still see ads, but they will be non-personalized; Google may still use limited data such as IP address and coarse location for purposes like frequency capping and fraud prevention.
6. How Information Is Shared
Data described above is processed by our service providers, principally Google (AdMob for advertising and Firebase for notifications and analytics), under their applicable terms. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information. To the extent the use of advertising identifiers for personalized ads is treated as “sharing” under certain US state privacy laws, the device-level opt-out described above is the way to opt out.
7. Data Retention
We retain limited data for limited periods: push tokens are kept only while notifications are enabled; anonymized analytics and crash data are kept only as long as needed for troubleshooting and trend analysis; short-term server logs rotate on a routine schedule. Data collected by Google in connection with advertising is retained according to Google’s policies linked above.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
9. Your Rights and Data Deletion
You may request access to or deletion of data by emailing [email protected]. Because the App collects no account or identity data, we may be unable to associate stored data with you specifically; we will honor requests to the extent we can identify the relevant data, and we will respond as required by applicable law, including the CCPA and GDPR where they apply. You can also remove the App’s advertising identifier association by resetting or deleting your advertising ID in Android settings, and stop all collection by uninstalling the App.
10. Google Play Data Safety
The Data safety section of the App’s Google Play listing is intended to be consistent with this policy. In summary: the App may collect device or other identifiers (advertising ID), approximate location, and app interaction and crash data; this data supports advertising, analytics, and app functionality; collection of notifications data is optional; and data is not sold.
11. Security and International Processing
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the limited data we handle. Data is processed in the United States. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be available from the App’s Google Play listing and our website. Material changes will be communicated through the App or the listing.
